List of 2009 Working and None working Holidays

I'm really curious for this year proclaimed holidays specially the SPECIAL NONE WORKING holidays (^_^) do you want to know those holidays that the Malacañang has released?
all you have to do is read...
Proclamation No. 1669 signed by President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo last December 24 — could still be amended, meaning more "holiday economics" announcements from the administration.

Businessmen, many of whom were surprised when Mrs. Arroyo extended the recent holiday break by adding January 2, 2009 at the last minute, welcomed the list. They urged the government, however, to be more circumspect.

Based on the proclamation, the following are this year’s 2009 regular holidays:

* April 9 (Maundy Thursday);
* April 10 (Good Friday);
* April 6 (the Monday nearest to April 9 which is Araw ng Kagitingan or Day of Valor);
* May 1 (Labor Day);
* June 12 (Independence Day);
* August 31 (National Heroes Day);
* November 30 (Bonifacio Day);
* December 25 (Christmas Day); and
* December 30 (Rizal Day).

The following, meanwhile, are special 2009 non-working days:

* August 21 (Ninoy Aquino Day);
* November 1 (All Saints Day);
* November 2 (additional special non-working day);
* December 24 (additional special non-working day); and December 31.

Mrs. Arroyo, who has justified moving holidays as providing an economic stimulus, said declaring December 24 and November 2 as holidays would strengthen Filipino families and boost domestic tourism.

Meanwhile, a proclamation declaring a national holiday for the observance of the Muslim feast Eid’l Fitr will be issued after the approximate date of the Islamic holiday has been determined in accordance with the lunar calendar.

Lessons of Life

There was father who had four sons. He wanted his sons to learn not to judge things too quickly. So he sent them each on a quest, in turn, to go and look at a pear tree that was a great distance away... The Eldest son went in the winter, the second in the spring, the third in summer, and the youngest son in the fall. When they had all gone and come back, he called them together to describe what they had seen. The first son said that the tree was ugly, bent, and twisted. The second son said no it was covered with green buds and full of promise. The third son disagreed; he said it was laden with blossoms that the flowers smell so sweet and looked so beautiful, it was the most heavenly thing he had ever seen. parang garden of Eden? The last son disagreed with all of them; he said it was ripe and drooping with fruit, full of life and fulfillment. The man then explained to his sons that they were all right, because they had each seen but only one season in the tree's life. He told them

Last night (nang sumakay ako ng jeep pauwi) there were so many thoughts in my mind... bakit nga bah I really don't feel like someone really cares for me... or may hindi ko lang naramdaman kasi all I can see are yung officemate na sobrang magreklamo etc... daming salita ... then all of the sudden... there was this jeep in front of me ... with the sign "Jesus Cares f
